Cybersecurity

Learning security by building and testing real systems.

My cybersecurity work combines structured training with an isolated homelab where I can examine real protocols, practise authorised testing, collect evidence and investigate the defensive side of the same activity.

Approach

Build. Test. Observe. Improve.

Learn

Use structured platforms and documentation to understand the underlying technology before testing it.

Practise

Recreate concepts in my own isolated environment rather than treating training as a purely theoretical exercise.

Document

Keep command output, observations and troubleshooting notes so the work can be reviewed and explained later.

Defend

Consider what each test looks like from the defender's perspective and how logs or network evidence could reveal it.
